Castell de Alaró

Discover the enchanting hike to Castell d'Alaró in Mallorca, perfect for families seeking adventure and stunning views. Although there is parking available, the road leading to the starting point can be narrow and bustling, making the journey less enjoyable. Some people opt to begin the hike from Alaró itself, which adds an extra layer of exploration to the adventure. Due to the busyness of the day, we abandoned the idea of ascending to the parking lot and instead found a spot along the route to begin our hike a bit earlier. This scenic trail boasts a 400-meter vertical drop, providing a thrilling yet manageable challenge for hikers of all ages. Once at the top, the panoramic vista is nothing short of breathtaking, offering sweeping views of Mallorca's rugged landscapes and azure coastline. Steeped in history, Castell d'Alaró dates back to Moorish times and was later fortified during the Christian reconquest of the island. Today, the ruins serve as a captivating reminder of Mallorca's rich cultural heritage, inviting visitors to explore its storied past while soaking in the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.
