Cala Sant Vicenç
Cala San Vicenç, on the north coast of Mallorca, near Pollença, is a perfect destination for families. Imagine a place where crystal-clear turquoise waters meet soft golden sands, creating the ideal setting for children to play and have fun under the sun. This picturesque cove is surrounded by impressive cliffs and pine forests, providing a safe and natural environment for the whole family. The three small beaches that make up Cala Sant Vicenç—Cala Barques, Cala Molins, and Cala Clara—offer variety and fun for everyone. The little ones can explore the shores in search of seashells and marine treasures, while parents can relax and enjoy the tranquil coastal atmosphere. The fourth one, Cala Carbó, is not really family-friendly. We do not recommend going there with kids. - Cala Barques: The biggest one, a sandy beach with rocks, 85m x 45m. It has an old fishermen's dock. - Cala Molins: A sandy beach, 45m x 50m. - Cala Clara: A bit smaller, 50m x 30m, also a sandy beach with rocks. You can access it by walking or with a kayak or stand-up paddle for more fun. Accessibility to Cala San Vicenç is excellent; the best way to get there is by road, using the Ma-2000 route that passes through Pollença and its port. Once there, you can park your car in the free parking lot right next to the beach. Although the best way to access is by car, there are public transportation options available. Once there, getting around is easy, allowing families to explore the different beaches and amenities on foot. In addition to playing on the beach, there are many exciting activities for families to enjoy, such as snorkeling in shallow waters, kayaking to explore nearby caves, or simply taking a walk along the coastal paths and discovering the natural beauty of the area (check out our hikes). With restaurants and cafes along the coast, families can enjoy delicious meals while admiring the stunning sea views. And for the more adventurous, boat excursions are available to discover nearby coves and their crystal-clear waters. Despite the natural beauty of the beach, it is not the best recommendation on windy days, as the cove is very exposed and strong waves can prevent swimming. It is important to consider the weather conditions before planning your visit to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at the beach. In summary, Cala San Vicenç offers a unique experience for families with children, where they can create unforgettable memories in an impressive natural environment and enjoy everything that Mallorca has to offer together.
